Job Overview -- Accounts & Store Operations
This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities and supporting supermarket operations. The primary duties include recording purchase bills, maintaining daily financial entries, and ensuring accuracy in profit-and-loss records. The candidate will also assist with cashier billing during peak hours and must perform regular supermarket duties whenever accounting work is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Record and verify purchase bills and supplier invoices
Enter daily transactions and maintain accounting records
Prepare daily sales, expense, and cash-flow summaries
Support cashier billing operations during busy hours
Reconcile cash, card, and credit sales at day-end
Track stock purchase entries and coordinate with inventory staff
Maintain supplier ledgers, payment records, and statements
Assist in profit-and-loss monitoring and basic financial reports
Manage petty-cash expenses and documentation
Carry out general supermarket duties during non-accounting periods
(e.g., stock arrangement, store assistance, packing, and counter support)
Preferred Skills
Basic accounting knowledge (manual or accounting software)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in entries
Ability to multitask between accounts and store operations
Prior experience in supermarket or retail accounting is an advantage
Working Hours
12-13 hours per day (as per store operational requirements)
Salary & Benefits
Salary: ₹45,000 - ?50,000 (Indian Rupees) per month
