The Account Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including bank reconciliation, taxation (GST & TDS), accounts receivable and payable, and financial reporting. The role also involves timely preparation and filing of statutory returns while maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bank and Cash Management
Perform
daily bank reconciliation
and maintain accurate bank books.
Record all bank transactions, verify entries, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Coordinate with banks for statements, payments, and transaction clarifications.
2. Accounts Receivable & Payable
Maintain
accounts receivable
ledger and follow up with customers for payment collection.
Process
vendor bills, payments, and reconciliations
for accounts payable.
Ensure timely settlement of supplier dues and maintain proper documentation.
3. Taxation & Compliance
Prepare and file
GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
and handle reconciliation with books.
Prepare and file
TDS returns
and ensure timely deduction and payment.
Assist in
tax audits, GST audits, and statutory compliances
as per government guidelines.
Maintain proper records of invoices, challans, and tax documents for audit purposes.
4. Accounting & Reporting
Record journal entries, expense vouchers, and adjustments in the accounting software (Tally/ERP).
Prepare
monthly MIS reports
, balance confirmations, and account statements.
Assist in
finalization of accounts
and coordinate with auditors during closing periods.
5. Coordination & Support
Coordinate with internal departments (sales, purchase, and management) for financial data and reports.
Support management in
budget preparation, cost analysis, and financial planning
.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of
accounting principles, GST, and TDS
.
Proficient in
Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel
.
Good analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Qualification & Experience:
Qualification:
B.Com / M.Com or equivalent.
Experience:
2-5 years of relevant experience in accounts, taxation, and reporting.
