We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Executive with
1-3
years of professional experience in financial accounting and reporting. The person will play a critical role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and supporting key financial activities such as month-end close, audits, tax filings, and financial analysis.
This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and variance analysis reports.
Review balance sheet and income statement to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.
General Accounting:
Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Review journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany balances as needed.
Compliance & Audit:
Support the annual financial audit process by preparing schedules and providing information to auditors.
Ensure compliance with tax filings, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Assist with preparation of corporate tax returns, sales tax filings, and other statutory reports.
Process Improvement & Automation:
Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline reporting processes and automate manual tasks.
Team Leadership & Mentoring:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff and oversee their day-to-day work.
Train and assist staff on accounting procedures, software, and best practices.
Ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain quality control over financial reports.
Ad-hoc Projects:
Support special projects related to financial analysis, system improvements, and integration efforts.
Assist in M&A activities, integration of new acquisitions, and preparation of related financial documents.
Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-3
years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, with a strong background in general ledger and month-end close processes.
Experience working in a corporate accounting environment, ideally in a mid-to-large company or public accounting firm.
Good knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.).
Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budget management.
Knowledge of ERP systems and automation tools is a plus.
