The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily accounting operations, handling vendor payments, monitoring mill expenses, and supporting statutory compliance in line with textile industry requirements.
Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping (purchase, sales, cash, bank entries).
Handle purchase bills related to cotton, waste, accessories, spare parts, and mill consumables.
Reconcile supplier invoices with GRN and production/warehouse statements.
Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain ledgers.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor payments and track outstanding dues.
Follow up with customers for payments (if sales accounts included).
Prepare debit/credit notes for rate differences, returns, shortages, etc.
Ensure timely settlement of staff advance, travel claims, and expenses.
3. Bank & Cash Management
Manage petty cash, cash vouchers, and cash flow statements.
Monitor daily bank transactions and reconciliation.
Prepare bank statements for audits and management review.
4. Inventory & Costing Support
Coordinate with production and stores for material consumption reports.
Support yarn, fabric, waste, spare parts cost analysis.
Maintain stock registers and assist in month-end stock valuation.
Verify production-based costing reports and variance.
5. Statutory Compliance Assistance
Assist in GST filing, TDS working, PF/ESI payments (if applicable).
Support monthly statutory payments and maintain related documentation.
Coordinate with auditors for internal & external audit requirements.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly & monthly financial reports.
Maintain purchase register, sales register, expense statements.
File and organize all accounting documents for audit readiness.
Generate MIS reports for management: cost, expenses, profit analysis.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
2-5 years of experience in accounts (textile mill experience preferred).
Strong knowledge in Tally / ERP accounting systems.
Understanding of GST, TDS, Ledger posting & bank reconciliation.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
Proficient in MS Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables preferred).
