Role Overview
As the Account Director, you will serve as the strategic and operational bridge between clients and internal teams. You will take ownership of account performance, ensure seamless delivery, foster long-term client relationships, and drive revenue growth. This is a senior leadership role requiring strategic thinking, exceptional communication, and deep expertise in digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Delivery Oversight
Own the end-to-end delivery of marketing solutions for key clients.
Serve as strategic lead across accounts: campaign planning, budgeting, performance reviews.
Ensure project timelines, deliverables, and KPIs are met with consistent quality.
Proactively solve problems, escalate early, and safeguard client relationships.
Business Growth & Revenue Contribution
Lead upsell and cross-sell efforts based on client needs and data insights.
Contribute to new business pitches, proposals, and client onboarding.
Drive retention by ensuring client satisfaction and strong business outcomes.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Supervise and mentor account managers, content strategists, and execution teams.
Set quarterly performance objectives and track team output.
Enable clear workflows, resource planning, and inter-department collaboration.
Operational Excellence
Standardize delivery processes and ensure adherence to internal SOPs.
Coordinate with creative, media, and analytics teams for smooth execution.
Monitor account profitability, operational planning, and efficiency metrics.
Culture & Communication
Uphold company values in all client and team communications.
Set the tone for leadership, accountability, and solution-driven culture.
Lead by example in handling escalations and client communication.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in client servicing / account management in a digital marketing agency or consulting firm.
Proven track record of managing multiple accounts, cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable impact.
Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing (PPC, SEO, Social Media, Content, Web).
Excellent verbal and written communication; able to handle CXO-level conversations.
Leadership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple moving pieces while maintaining strategic clarity.
