The Account cum HR Assistant will be responsible for the on-site management of day-to-day accounts and human resources tasks for the road and bridge construction project. This dual-function role requires a meticulous and organized professional to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and smooth personnel management, maintaining a strong link between the site and the head office departments.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Financial Management:
Maintain daily records of all site-level expenditures, including labor wages, material purchases, and operational costs.
Prepare and verify vouchers for all financial transactions on-site.
Manage petty cash and submit regular reports to the central Accounts department.
Assist in preparing the weekly and monthly site closing reports.
Human Resources & Administration:
Oversee and record the daily attendance of all on-site staff and labor.
Assist in the local recruitment process for project-based labor, including documentation and verification.
Facilitate the timely and accurate payment of wages to the site workforce.
Process and track leave requests for on-site staff.
Serve as the primary on-site contact for employee queries and assist with basic grievance handling.
Coordination & Reporting:
Act as a key liaison between the site, the Accounts department, and the HR department.
Submit daily and weekly reports on both financial and personnel matters to the respective department heads.
Ensure all financial and HR records are properly filed and maintained for future reference.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an accounts or HR role, preferably in the construction or a related industry. Candidates having Jharkhand Geographical Exposure will be preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial record-keeping.
Familiarity with HR and administrative functions.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively on a dynamic site location.
