:
The Account Associate will support the finance and accounting department in managing financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, and assisting in the preparation of reports and budgets. The role is essential in maintaining day-to-day accounting operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing support in audits.
Key Responsibilities
:
Account Management
:
Assist in maintaining financial records, ensuring accurate posting of transactions.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
Prepare and review journal entries.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
Invoice and Payment Processing
:
Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper approval.
Ensure timely payment processing to vendors and suppliers.
Monitor accounts payable aging and communicate with vendors as necessary.
Bank Reconciliations
:
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
Ensure that all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
Reporting and Analysis
:
Assist in preparing budget reports, financial projections, and forecasts.
Compile and analyze financial data to support decision-making.
Tax and Compliance Support
:
Assist in preparing documents and information for tax filings and audits.
Ensure compliance with all internal and external financial regulations and policies.
General Administrative Support
:
Provide general support to senior accounting staff.
Answer queries related to financial matters and provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain and organize accounting records and documents.
Qualifications
:
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Experience
: 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (preferred).
Skills
:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
