An Account Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to accounting departments, handling daily tasks like data entry, processing invoices (AP/AR), reconciling bank statements, and maintaining financial records. They ensure accuracy in financial transactions, manage petty cash, and assist with payroll or month-end reporting to support the finance team. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping: Recording daily financial transactions, posting debits/credits, and updating ledgers. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing invoices, matching purchase orders, and managing payments/collections. Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy. Administrative Support: Maintaining physical/digital files, answering queries, and assisting with tax/payroll data preparation. Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or year-end financial statements.
