Receive patient samples (blood, urine, biopsy, etc.) from collection centers or hospitals
Verify patient details, test requisition forms, and sample labeling for accuracy
Register samples in the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Generate accession numbers / barcodes and ensure proper tagging of samples
Check sample quality and quantity before forwarding to the lab departments
Enter and update patient and test data accurately in the system
