Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in conducting accessibility testing of websites, mobile apps, and documents under guidance.
Use accessibility plugins and tools to identify visual issues like color contrast, focus indicators, and element visibility.
Support report creation by organizing findings, taking screenshots, and documenting issue descriptions.
Learn to use assistive technologies like screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, TalkBack, VoiceOver).
Use tools such as Axe DevTools, WAVE, and browser extensions to test for basic accessibility compliance.
Tag and maintain test results using Excel or similar tracking tools.
Work with senior testers to understand WCAG guidelines, test methodology, and reporting format.
Build knowledge of accessibility concepts and tools.
Contribute to team QA processes by checking issue descriptions, links, and visuals.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree (any discipline)
0.5 - 2 years of experience in software or accessibility testing
Basic understanding of accessibility concepts and web/mobile application testing
Familiarity with browser-based testing tools and plugins
Good observational skills and attention to detail
Basic documentation skills; ability to write clear issue summaries
Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
Required Experience:
0.5 to 2 years experience in software or accessibility testing.
