Job Summary:

The Academic Counselor will guide prospective students in choosing suitable academic programs, provide counseling on career pathways, support students throughout the admission process, and ensure their smooth academic journey. The role involves advising, motivating, and helping students achieve their educational and career goals while meeting the institution's admission targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Counsel prospective students and parents regarding academic programs, course selection, and career opportunities. Explain program structures, eligibility, fees, scholarships, and admission procedures. Handle inquiries (via phone, email, walk-ins, social media) and convert them into admissions. Follow up with potential students to ensure successful enrollment. Conduct orientation sessions, webinars, and career guidance workshops. Maintain updated records of leads, student interactions, and conversions in CRM/Excel systems. Coordinate with faculty, admissions team, and management for smooth onboarding of students. Assist in planning and executing promotional/marketing activities for admissions. Provide continuous academic and emotional support to students, resolving their queries and guiding them throughout their course duration. Achieve monthly/annual admission targets set by the institution.

Key Skills Required:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Persuasive and empathetic counseling approach. Knowledge of academic programs, career trends, and higher education opportunities. Ability to handle pressure and meet targets. Good organizational and record-keeping skills. Proficiency in MS Office/Excel and CRM tools.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's / plus two Prior experience in academic counseling, admissions, or student support preferred. Freshers with strong communication skills may also be considered.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
