Job Title : Academic Specialist

Overview

The Academic Specialist is responsible for developing high-quality academic content, supporting sales/demo conversations with subject expertise, and ensuring an excellent learning experience for students. The role bridges academics, product, and business teams to drive student success and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Content & Curriculum

Design and develop curriculum, lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources aligned to boards/exams. Create, review, and upgrade subject content (PPTs, scripts, question banks, projects). Ensure content accuracy, plagiarism-free writing, and age-appropriate pedagogy. Work with graphic designers and video teams to build engaging learning modules.

2. Demo & Sales Support

Conduct product demos and counseling calls as the academic expert. Handle academic queries from parents/students during pre-sales discussions. Support the sales team in objection handling related to syllabus, exams, and outcomes. Contribute to conversion by mapping learner needs to the right program.

3. Student Engagement

Mentor students through live sessions, doubt solving, and academic reviews. Analyze learner performance and suggest improvement plans. Coordinate with operations for class scheduling and delivery quality. Gather feedback to improve courses and teaching methods.

4. Quality & Compliance

Maintain academic quality benchmarks and SOPs. Align programs with NEP and board guidelines where applicable. Support accreditation/documentation for institutional partnerships.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Graduation/Post-Graduation in relevant subject (B.Ed preferred). 2-5years' experience in teaching, content development, or academic counseling. Excellent communication in English & Telugu/Hindi (as per region). Strong presentation and counseling skills. Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and LMS tools.

Preferred Competencies

Experience in K12/Test-prep EdTech. Ability to handle parent interactions confidently. Understanding of digital pedagogy and assessment design.
