Job Summary:
The Academic Officer oversees the academic administration and ensures smooth functioning of academic programs, curriculum implementation, examination processes, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Academic Administration:
Manage academic operations, timetables, and faculty coordination.
Curriculum Implementation:
Ensure proper delivery of syllabus and course objectives as per university/board norms.
Faculty Support:
Assist in faculty recruitment, workload allocation, and performance evaluation.
Student Support:
Monitor attendance, academic progress, and grievances related to academics.
Examinations & Results:
Supervise exam scheduling, coordination, and result processing.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to AICTE/UGC/University norms and accreditation requirements.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain academic records, reports, and data for audits and inspections.
Academic Planning:
Participate in strategic planning for academic growth and quality enhancement.
Communication:
Act as a liaison between departments, faculty, and administration.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment.
Qualification & Experience:
Master's degree (preferably in Education/Administration or relevant discipline).
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in academic administration or similar role.
Strong knowledge of higher education systems, accreditation, and student management systems.
