Position: Academic Mentor

About the Role

As an Academic Mentor, you will be a consistent support system for students--tracking their academic performance, addressing their challenges, and collaborating with teachers and families to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Student Mentoring & Engagement

Develop meaningful connections with students to support their academic and personal development. Lead co-curricular activities and initiatives that promote confidence, creativity, and leadership. Partner with educators and counselors to ensure student needs are met with care and consistency.

Academic Support & Monitoring

Regularly track academic progress and identify areas where additional help is needed. Conduct assessments and offer focused academic guidance. Work with faculty to create customized learning plans for students who require extra support.

Parent Communication & Involvement

Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress. Attend and support parent meetings to align on student goals and strategies. Offer advice on how families can effectively support learning at home.

Data Handling & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior. Use student data to drive interventions and improve academic outcomes. Utilize digital tools to manage, track, and report progress effectively.

Genuine enthusiasm for mentoring and student development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to use data to support learning outcomes. Comfort with educational technology and digital platforms.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?16,500.00 per month
