About the Role
As an Academic Mentor, you'll serve as a supportive guide and motivator, closely monitoring student progress and collaborating with educators and families to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Mentoring & Student Engagement
Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage academic growth and personal development.
Lead co-curricular activities, clubs, and enrichment programs that foster all-round student growth.
Collaborate with teachers and counselors to understand and address student challenges.
Academic Monitoring & Support
Regularly track student performance and identify learning gaps early.
Conduct assessments and provide tailored academic support where necessary.
Work with faculty to develop and implement personalized learning strategies for students in need of additional help.
Family Communication & Support
Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians about student progress and well-being.
Facilitate parent meetings to align on academic goals and support strategies.
Advise families on how to effectively support learning at home.
Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic performance, and student behavior.
Analyse academic data to drive targeted interventions and continuous improvement.
Utilize digital tools and educational platforms to monitor and report student progress effectively.
