As an Academic Mentor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of students. You will serve as a mentor, motivator, and guide, tracking academic progress, maintaining strong relationships with students and parents, and helping create a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Engagement & Mentorship
Build positive, trusting relationships with students, offering guidance and support to help them excel academically and personally.
Organize and lead student activities, clubs, and programs that encourage both academic and personal growth.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and counselors to address student concerns, resolve conflicts, and provide necessary interventions.
2. Academic Performance & Support
Monitor student academic progress, identify challenges, and provide necessary interventions to improve learning outcomes.
Conduct continuous assessments and evaluations to track student understanding of the curriculum.
Work closely with teachers and counselors to develop customized academic plans for students requiring additional support.
3. Parent Communication & Collaboration
Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians to keep them updated on their child's academic and personal development.
Organize and participate in parent meetings and conferences to discuss student progress, challenges, and goals.
Address parental concerns, provide guidance, and suggest ways they can support their child's education at home.
4. Data Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, assessments, and behavioral observations.
Prepare reports and conduct data analysis on student performance and development for internal use and communication with parents and school leadership.
Utilize Management Information Systems (MIS) and other educational software for efficient data tracking and reporting.
