Job Title: Academic Mentor (Hosteller)

We are looking for dedicated, empathetic, and student-centric Academic Mentors (Hosteller) to join our residential campus in Thrissur. In this role, you will be more than just a guide; you will be a steady presence in the students' lives, fostering a "home away from home" environment that balances academic rigour with personal well-being. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about shaping young minds through constant engagement, academic support, and holistic mentorship within a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

Residential Mentorship: Build deep, trust-based relationships with hostel residents, serving as a primary point of contact for their academic and personal needs. Structured Study Support: Conduct regular evening mentoring and supervised study sessions to help students navigate challenges and maintain a disciplined learning routine. Performance Tracking: Closely monitor academic progress, identify learning gaps, and develop customized improvement plans tailored to each student's pace. Collaborative Intervention: Work in tandem with the teaching faculty and academic teams to implement personalized learning strategies that align with classroom goals. Parental Engagement: Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians, providing them with peace of mind through regular updates on their child's academic and residential progress. Holistic Development: Plan and lead after-school enrichment activities, skill-building workshops, and co-curricular projects to ensure all-round growth. Administrative Diligence: Maintain meticulous records of study attendance, academic performance, behavioral observations, and mentoring logs using digital tools. Crisis & Emotional Support: Provide basic counseling and work closely with professional counselors to address the unique emotional or academic stressors of living away from home. Environment Building: Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and disciplined hostel culture that inspires confidence and excellence. Continuous Growth: Participate in professional development workshops to stay updated on the latest mentoring techniques and pedagogical tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Strong communication skills (Fluency in Malayalam and English is highly preferred for the Thrissur location). Ability to reside on-campus and manage the flexible schedule required of a residential role. A compassionate approach toward student welfare and behavioral management.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
