Job Summary:
The Primary Academic Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and improving the academic processes of the Primary Wing (Grades I-V). The role ensures effective curriculum delivery as per CBSE guidelines, teacher performance management, student progress monitoring, and overall academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Planning & Curriculum Implementation
Ensure effective implementation of CBSE curriculum and academic calendar for Grades I-V.
Prepare annual academic plans, lesson plan formats, assessment schedules, and enrichment activities.
Monitor lesson planning, classroom teaching, and curriculum coverage.
Teacher Management & Development
Supervise, mentor, and guide Primary teachers and HRTs.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
Identify training needs and organize internal workshops and academic training.
Support teachers in innovative teaching methodologies and use of teaching aids.
Assessment & Student Performance
Plan and monitor assessments, worksheets, and examinations as per CBSE norms.
Analyze student performance data and initiate academic interventions where required.
Ensure proper documentation of academic records, report cards, and student portfolios.
Address academic concerns of students in coordination with teachers and parents.
Academic Monitoring & Quality Assurance
Maintain academic standards and ensure compliance with CBSE requirements.
Conduct regular academic audits and subject-wise reviews.
Ensure implementation of NEP-aligned practices such as experiential learning, competency-based education, and holistic development.
Parent & Stakeholder Coordination
Interact with parents regarding academic progress, concerns, and improvement plans.
Support parent-teacher meetings and academic orientations.
Coordinate with the Principal and other departments for smooth academic operations.
Administrative & Documentation Support
Maintain academic MIS, teacher performance reports, and student progress data.
Assist during inspections, audits, and CBSE compliance requirements.
Support school events, academic competitions, and co-curricular activities.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline.
B.Ed / D.El.Ed (mandatory).
CBSE teaching experience preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years of teaching experience in Primary grades.
At least 2-3 years of experience in an academic leadership or coordination role.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of CBSE Primary curriculum.
Leadership and team-handling skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace and school ERP systems.
Ability to mentor teachers and drive academic improvement.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in CBSE or reputed K-12 schools.
Exposure to NEP 2020 implementation.
Passion for child-centric and innovative teaching practices.
