The Academic Director at AIMER Business School will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the academic vision, program quality, faculty development, and curriculum innovation. As a strategic academic leader, the Academic Director will ensure excellence in teaching, research, and student learning outcomes. This role collaborates across departments to align educational offerings with industry trends and institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Strategy & Program Management
Define and execute academic strategy aligned with the institution's mission and vision.
Oversee the development, revision, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
Ensure programs are aligned with industry expectations and accreditation requirements.
2. Faculty Leadership & Development
Lead recruitment, orientation, and mentoring of academic staff and faculty.
Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and research.
Design and implement faculty development plans and performance evaluations.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and quality benchmarks (AICTE/UGC or others).
Monitor academic audits, student evaluations, and faculty feedback systems.
Establish academic policies and standard operating procedures.
4. Student Learning & Support
Drive initiatives to enhance student learning outcomes and satisfaction.
Ensure robust academic advising, mentoring, and support structures.
Implement academic calendar, exam schedules, and grading systems.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with admissions, placements, marketing, and corporate partnerships.
Promote integration of academic and co-curricular activities.
Contribute to brand-building and academic visibility initiatives.
6. Research & Innovation
Encourage faculty and student research through conferences, publications, and grants.
Lead academic innovation including adoption of digital tools, blended learning, and case-based teaching.
7. External Engagement
Represent AIMER in academic forums, panels, and strategic alliances.
Build relationships with academic bodies, universities, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: PhD or Doctorate in Management or relevant field is preferred.
Experience: Min 8 years of academic leadership experience in a business school or higher education setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Deep understanding of curriculum design, accreditation processes, and pedagogy.
Passion for education, student success, and faculty development.
Knowledge of EdTech tools, LMS platforms, and academic ERP systems.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with NAAC, NBA, or international accreditations.
Track record of research publications and academic contributions.
Ability to drive innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment.
