The Academic Dean provides academic leadership and strategic direction to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and curriculum implementation. The role focuses on faculty development, academic planning, student achievement, and compliance with educational policies and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all academic programs and departments

Develop, review, and implement curriculum as per university/board guidelines

Ensure academic quality, standards, and continuous improvement

Monitor teaching methodologies and student learning outcomes

Guide and mentor faculty members; conduct performance evaluations

Organize faculty training, workshops, and academic development programs

Coordinate academic schedules, timetables, and examinations

Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and institutional norms

Address academic issues of students and faculty

Promote research, innovation, and best academic practices

Collaborate with Principal/Management on academic planning and policy

Qualifications

Master's degree in relevant discipline

B.Ed./M.Ed.

Minimum 8-12 years of teaching and academic administration experience

Experience in curriculum design and academic leadership
