Position Overview

The Academic Dean will be responsible for overseeing the academic operations of the institution, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, curriculum development, faculty performance, and student achievement. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educational leader with proven experience in academic management and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating academic programs and policies. Oversee curriculum design, review, and enhancement to ensure alignment with institutional goals and accreditation standards. Supervise and mentor faculty members, promoting professional growth and academic excellence. Monitor academic performance, student outcomes, and teaching quality across departments. Develop and implement academic schedules, examination systems, and evaluation frameworks. Ensure compliance with institutional, national, and international academic regulations. Collaborate with the administration to plan budgets, allocate resources, and enhance academic infrastructure. Lead initiatives for research, innovation, and community engagement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and collaboration within the academic community. Review and approve new courses and programs. Ensure regular curriculum review and updates to maintain relevance and quality. Ensure student academic support systems are in place (advising, tutoring, etc.). Handle academic grievances and appeals. Promote initiatives for student retention and success.

Qualifications & Experience

Master's or Doctorate degree in Education, Administration, or a related field (PhD preferred). Minimum

5+ years of experience

in an academic leadership role (such as Dean, Head of Department, or Academic Director). Strong knowledge of curriculum design, accreditation processes, and educational technology. Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Commitment to academic excellence and student success.
