We are an emerging EdTech startup offering creativity-driven career courses for kids and teenagers, including Digital Marketing Basics, Video Editing, Graphic Designing, UI & Motion Graphics. Our programs focus on practical skills, creativity, confidence building, and early digital exposure.
We are looking for a dynamic Academic Counsellor cum Business Development Manager who can drive enrollments, guide parents, and ensure smooth academic onboarding.
Handle inbound/outbound calls, WhatsApp leads, and walk-ins from parents.
Understand the child's interests, skill level, and learning needs.
Recommend the right course and learning path.
Clearly explain curriculum, outcomes, schedules, and teaching methods.
Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets.
Maintain strong follow-ups and convert leads to enrollments.
2. Academic Onboarding & Parent Coordination
Conduct orientation for new parents + students.
Share academic calendars, project timelines, and expectations.
Ensure smooth LMS access, class joining, and course material distribution.
Act as the bridge between faculty, students, and parents.
Track attendance, engagement, and progress for each child.
3. Business Development & Partnerships
Build partnerships with:
Schools
Hobby clubs
Coaching institutes
Play schools/Activity centers
Local communities & societies
Conduct offline/online workshops, seminars, and demo sessions.
Develop business opportunities to increase student funnel.
4. Student Success & Retention
Monitor each student's participation, understanding, and comfort.
Organize doubt sessions or extra academic support when needed.
Reduce dropouts by providing timely academic and emotional guidance.
Take parent feedback and work with tutors to improve teaching quality.
5. Reporting & CRM Management
Maintain accurate records of leads, conversions, retention, and revenue.
Prepare weekly enrollment reports for management.
Update CRM (Zoho/HubSpot/Sheets) with daily activities.
6. Required Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication skills (English + Hindi)
Strong persuasion & consultative selling abilities
Confident in speaking with parents and children
Understanding of academic needs for 8-18 year students
Organised, proactive, and target-oriented
Ability to manage both sales + academic responsibilities
Comfortable with calls, demos, workshops, and fieldwork when needed
Experience in EdTech (preferred)
7. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (any field)
2-4 years of relevant experience in counselling, BDM, admissions, or EdTech
Experience working with parents/students is a big plus
Basic knowledge of digital/creative courses (preferred but not mandatory)
