Role Overview

As an Academic Counselor at University Insights, you will be responsible for guiding students and parents throughout the admission process. This includes identifying suitable programs, explaining requirements, providing admission support, maintaining strong relationships, and helping them make confident decisions. The role involves active communication, follow-ups, counseling sessions, and conversion management to achieve monthly targets.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students and parents regarding study-abroad programs such as MBBS Abroad, Aviation, and International Degrees. Guide students on eligibility criteria, required documents, career outcomes, fees, accommodation, and visa processes. Conduct online and in-office counseling sessions, walk-ins, webinars, and telephonic consultations. Maintain strong follow-ups with potential leads generated from marketing campaigns, walk-ins, WhatsApp, and digital inquiries. Assist students in application form filling, documentation, and coordinating with the admissions processing team. Convert leads into successful admissions through relationship building, trust, and effective communication. Maintain proper CRM records of every student interaction, stage, and status update. Participate in training, student onboarding, orientation and career guidance sessions when required.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong communication and presentation skills Understanding of study-abroad programs (especially MBBS Abroad) Ability to handle objections confidently Good command over English and Hindi (additional languages are a plus) Basic understanding of CRM or lead-management tools Positive attitude, patience, and student-friendly tone Ability to work under targets and deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required (Any stream) Minimum

1 year experience

in academic counseling, overseas education, admissions, tele-sales, or student advisory roles
