plays a crucial role in guiding students toward successful international education opportunities while leading and mentoring a team of counsellors. This position involves delivering accurate and up-to-date information on professional courses abroad, top study destinations, admissions in reputed universities and colleges, visa and documentation processes, scholarships, and more. Beyond individual counselling, the Team Leader is responsible for achieving team targets, ensuring high service standards, and fostering collaboration across the branch to drive overall business success.
Key Areas of Responsibility

Student Counselling
Provide personalized counselling to students based on academic background, career goals, budget, and preferred study destinations.
Guide students in selecting suitable universities, programs, and intakes aligned with their interests and qualifications.
Ensure the delivery of professional, approachable, and respectful counselling services to create a positive student experience.
2.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of academic counsellors to achieve individual and collective targets.
Conduct regular training sessions to strengthen product knowledge, counselling skills, and compliance with company standards.
Monitor team productivity, provide feedback, and support in improving conversions and service quality.
Allocate responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth operations and target achievement.
3.
Targets & Registrations
Consistently achieve or exceed personal and team registration targets (daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly).
Develop effective strategies to maximize enrolments through events, webinars, expos, and virtual counselling sessions.
4.
Calls & Follow-ups
Ensure personal productivity with a minimum of 50 connected calls daily, while monitoring the team's performance.
Supervise timely follow-ups for enquiries and registered clients to build stronger relationships and improve conversions.
Implement strategies to enhance student engagement and reduce drop-offs.
5.
Lead Generation & Business Development
Drive innovative initiatives for high-quality lead generation through content development, promotional activities, and institutional collaborations.
Coordinate school/college presentations, awareness workshops, and partnerships with key stakeholders to expand outreach.
Support marketing campaigns by providing insights and participating in events.
6.
Record Keeping & Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely submission of personal and team reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
Maintain an organized database of leads, registrations, documents, and resources for quick access.
Review team reporting to ensure compliance with turnaround times (TATs) and operational standards.
7.
Research & Knowledge Development
Stay informed about international education trends, scholarships, intakes, visa policies, and university updates.
Encourage and facilitate continuous learning within the team.
Share insights and updates with counsellors to improve counselling accuracy and effectiveness.
8.
Participation & Branch Support
Actively participate in branch-level events, webinars, expos, training programs, and team discussions.
Provide support during peak admission seasons by coordinating efforts across the team.
Represent the branch in delegate meetings and industry interactions.
9.
Meetings & Strategy Alignment
Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with Branch Managers and senior leadership.
Lead morning and evening briefing sessions with the team to track progress, assign tasks, and resolve challenges.
Align team efforts with organizational goals and strategies.
10.
Walk-ins & Virtual Counselling
Generate 10-20 successful walk-ins monthly while ensuring equal attention to virtual counselling clients.
Support the team in converting both walk-ins and virtual leads effectively.
11.
Branch Visits & Lead Management
Visit allocated academies/branches to collect leads and engage with prospective students.
Build and maintain strong relationships with CROs, branch staff, and students to ensure continuous engagement.
Supervise lead management processes to optimize conversions.
Qualifications / Requirements
A bachelor's degree in education, international relations, business, or a related field.
Experience in counseling or student services, especially in the context of international education.
(Min 3- 5 years) preferred
