Academic Counselor
to join our team. As the face of our institute, you will be responsible for guiding prospective students through our course offerings, understanding their career goals, and helping them enroll in the right programs. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is organized and passionate about education.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound & Outbound Calling:
Handle inquiries received through the website/social media and make outbound calls to prospective leads to explain course details.
Walk-in Management:
Greet students/parents visiting the center, conduct face-to-face counseling sessions, and give them a tour of the facilities.
Course Guidance:
Clearly explain the curriculum, fee structure, and career benefits of our courses (e.g., Tally, Advanced Excel) to help students make informed decisions.
Follow-up & conversion:
Maintain a strong follow-up system with leads to ensure a high conversion rate from inquiry to admission.
Batch Creation & Coordination:
Coordinate with faculty to form new batches, schedule start dates, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new students.
Database Management:
Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, admissions, and follow-ups CRM software.
Required Skills & Competencies:
To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess:
Excellent Communication:
Fluent in English and [Local Language, e.g., Hindi]. Must be able to articulate complex course details simply.
Active Listening & Empathy:
The ability to listen to a student's confusion or career worries and provide a comforting, solution-oriented response.
Persuasion & Sales Skills:
A natural ability to convince and close admissions without being overly aggressive.
Organizational Skills:
Capable of managing multiple batches, tracking fee statuses, and scheduling classes without errors.
Patience & Approachability:
Must have a pleasant personality and be patient when answering repetitive questions from students or parents.
Basic Tech Proficiency:
Comfortable using MS Excel, WhatsApp for Business, and Email.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in any field.
Experience:
0-2 years of experience in Counseling, Tele-sales, Education, or Customer Service. (Freshers with excellent communication skills are welcome).
