Job Summary:

An

Academic Counselor

supports students in achieving their educational goals by providing guidance on academic planning, course selection, career development, and personal development. The counselor serves as a resource for academic policies, procedures, and available support services to help students succeed in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise students on

degree requirements

, course selections, academic policies, and career options Help students develop and follow a

personalized academic plan

Monitor students'

academic progress

and intervene when challenges arise Support students in

transferring

credits, changing majors, or applying to graduate programs Provide information on

internships, scholarships

, and academic support resources Collaborate with faculty, administration, and student services to ensure student success Maintain accurate and confidential

student records

Conduct

orientation sessions

, workshops, or academic success seminars Assist students on

probation

or those facing academic dismissal

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required;

Master's in Education, Counseling, or related field preferred

Experience in

academic advising, counseling, or student services

Strong knowledge of

educational systems

, degree programs, and career planning Excellent communication, interpersonal, and

problem-solving skills

Ability to work with diverse student populations Proficiency in

student information systems

(e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft) and advising software

Pay: Up to ?30,000.00 per month
