Job Summary

The Academic Counselor will be responsible for guiding prospective and enrolled students through the academic selection and admission process. The role involves understanding student needs, providing appropriate academic and career guidance, and ensuring a positive enrolment experience while supporting institutional enrolment goals.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel students and parents on academic programs, course options, eligibility, and career pathways Handle student enquiries via calls, emails, chats, and in-person interactionso Understand student aspirations and recommend suitable programs accordingly Guide students through the admission and enrolment processo Follow up with prospective leads and maintain accurate student records using CRM systemso Coordinate with faculty, academic, and operations teams for smooth admissions Work towards achieving assigned monthly and quarterly enrolment targets Conduct counselling sessions, orientation programs, webinars, and outreach activities as required Ensure high levels of student satisfaction and timely resolution of student queries

Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude and strong interpersonal abilitieso Ability to build rapport and trust with students and parents Experience in coordinating with faculty, students, and cross-functional teams Basic understanding of academic programs, eligibility criteria, and career pathways Target-oriented approach with ethical counselling practiceso Good organisational, documentation, and follow-up skills Proficiency in MS Office and basic digital tools

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, Management preferred)o Certification in counselling or education advisory will be an added advantage

Preferred Experience

1-2 years of experience in academic counselling, admissions, edtech, or education saleso Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds

Pay: ?180,000.00 - ?300,000.00 per year
