Role Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Academic Counselor to guide and support students in achieving their academic and career goals. The role involves providing counseling, assisting in course selection, guiding students through admissions/enrollment processes, and ensuring they make informed educational decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Counsel prospective students about academic programs, admission criteria, and career opportunities. Guide students in course selection and academic planning based on their interests, aptitude, and career aspirations. Assist students with the enrollment and admission process, ensuring smooth documentation and compliance with institutional requirements. Provide guidance on scholarship opportunities, training programs, and placement options. Conduct information sessions, workshops, and orientation programs for students and parents. Maintain regular communication with students to monitor progress and provide continuous support. Collaborate with faculty and administration to resolve student concerns and academic issues. Maintain accurate student records and prepare reports as required. Stay updated on educational trends, admission processes, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's/Master's degree Proven experience as an Academic Counselor, Student Advisor, or in a similar role. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of academic programs, admission processes, and career guidance practices. Empathetic, approachable, and student-focused mindset.
