Role Title: Academic Counselor (Sales)

Function: Inside Sales / Education Counselling

Employment Type: Full-Time Work Mode: Online / Offline (Hybrid) Location: Bangalore (HSR Layout / Koramangala)

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Academic Counselor is a revenue-driving sales role responsible for counselling prospective students and parents, understanding academic needs, and converting qualified leads into enrollments. The role demands strong communication, persuasion, structured follow-ups, and performance discipline in a target-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage with potential students and parents through outbound and inbound calls



Counsel prospects on courses, learning pathways, and outcomes

Convert qualified leads into successful enrollments

Achieve weekly and monthly sales and revenue targets

Maintain disciplined follow-ups and CRM/lead tracking

Understand customer needs and recommend suitable programs

Deliver a professional and ethical sales experience aligned with Vedantu values.

CANDIDATE PROFILE & SKILLS Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong proficiency in English; Hindi / Tamil / Telugu / Kannada / Marathi preferred

Sales-oriented mindset with persuasion and objection-handling skills

Confident, target-driven, and self-motivated

Comfortable working in high-volume inside sales environments

Laptop with functional audio/video and stable internet connection.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

Interview process includes multiple rounds such as Sales Assessment and HR discussion. Interviews may be conducted online or offline based on operational requirements.



COMPENSATION PLAN & BENEFITS

Probation Period (First 3 Months): Fixed stipend of ?20,000 per month



Incentives during probation (over and above fixed pay):

Post-probation compensation: Up to ?6 LPA (?4 LPA fixed + ?2 LPA variable)



High performers can earn up to ?4 LPA fixed + ?4 LPA variable within the first year

Comprehensive medical insurance coverage as per company policy.

Pay: From ?600,000.00 per year
