Job Overview:
The Academic Counselor at SkillzRevo will play a key role in guiding aspiring professionals, students, and corporate learners toward upskilling opportunities in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Business Intelligence, Cyber Security, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and other emerging technologies.
The role involves understanding learner goals, recommending suitable programs, ensuring smooth enrollment, and maintaining a strong learner relationship throughout their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counseling & Admissions
Counsel prospective learners (students, working professionals, corporates) via calls, emails, and online meetings.
Understand individual career aspirations and suggest suitable courses and career paths.
Provide detailed program information (curriculum, duration, certification, pricing, and learning outcomes).
Convert inquiries into enrollments by building trust and explaining value propositions effectively.
Maintain follow-ups with potential leads until successful enrollment.
2. Lead Management & Conversion
Handle inbound leads from marketing campaigns, social media, and partner channels.
Conduct outbound calls to nurture and convert cold or warm leads.
Maintain accurate lead and conversion records in CRM tools.
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment targets.
3. Academic Coordination
Coordinate with faculty, training managers, and operations for batch scheduling and student onboarding.
Ensure smooth academic and administrative support for enrolled learners.
Conduct orientation sessions and share pre-learning materials.
Address academic or operational concerns and ensure timely resolution.
4. Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with learners and alumni.
Collect feedback, testimonials, and success stories from enrolled students.
Promote referrals and upskilling pathways for advanced programs.
5. Reporting & Collaboration
Provide daily and weekly reports on leads, conversions, and follow-ups.
Collaborate with marketing and placement teams to align on campaigns and student success initiatives.
Share insights and trends on student interests, challenges, and course performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, or Education).
1-4 years of experience in academic counseling, inside sales, or edtech.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Hindi preferred).
Knowledge or interest in emerging technologies like Data Science, AI, Cyber Security, etc.
Strong persuasion, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency with CRM tools (Zoho, HubSpot, or similar) and MS Office.
Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work under performance metrics.
