The Academic Counselor plays a key role in guiding prospective students through the application and admission process. This position involves providing accurate information about courses, helping students choose the right programs, and ensuring a smooth admission process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counselling: Engage with prospective students via phone, email, or in-person to understand their educational goals. Provide detailed information about the institutions, courses, and admission requirements. Help students select the right course based on their interests, academic background, and career aspirations.
2. Follow-Up & Relationship Building: Regularly follow up with leads to answer any questions and encourage the completion of the admission process. Build and maintain relationships with students, addressing their concerns and ensuring they feel supported throughout the admission journey.
3. Application Process Guidance: Guide students through the application process, including filling out forms and submitting required documents. Ensure that all applications and documentation are complete and submitted on time.
4. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student interactions and follow-ups using CRM tools. Prepare reports on student inquiries, conversions, and admissions progress.
