The Counsellor cum Mentor will be responsible for guiding and supporting students throughout their UPSC preparation journey. This includes providing academic and motivational mentorship, counseling aspirants regarding course selection, preparation strategies, and addressing academic or personal challenges that may affect their performance. The role combines academic understanding with empathetic counseling to ensure students stay motivated, informed, and aligned with their goals.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Student Counseling & Guidance
Counsel students and parents regarding UPSC courses, batches, study plans, and examination patterns.
Help students identify their strengths, weaknesses, and the right course as per their preparation stage (Foundation, Prelims, Mains, Optional).
Handle walk-in, telephonic, and online inquiries and convert them into admissions through professional guidance and follow-ups.
2. Mentorship & Academic Support
Act as a mentor to allocated students, providing continuous motivation, progress monitoring, and strategy planning.
Conduct one-on-one or group mentoring sessions to discuss preparation issues, time management, and subject guidance.
Coordinate with faculty members to track student performance and provide timely feedback or remedial support.
3. Student Engagement & Retention
Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with students to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Resolve academic or behavioral concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Plan and conduct academic counseling sessions, motivational talks, and doubt-resolution meetings.
4. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with the academic and operations team for batch management, attendance, and feedback collection.
Maintain updated records of student interactions, progress reports, and feedback in the system.
5. Product Knowledge & Continuous Learning
Stay updated with UPSC exam trends, syllabus changes, and competitive analysis of other institutes.
Understand all institute programs, test series, and course structures thoroughly to guide students accurately.

Educational Qualification:
Graduate
Prior experience in the education or counseling domain, preferably in UPSC or competitive exam coaching, is desirable.
Experience:
4-8 years of relevant experience in counseling, mentoring, or academic coordination.
