Job Description

The Academic Coordinator for Preprimary & Primary Section will be responsible for overseeing the academic planning, curriculum implementation, teacher support, and student learning outcomes for the Pre-Primary and Primary sections. The role ensures academic excellence, child-centric pedagogy, and holistic development of young learners in alignment with the school's vision and national education guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Academic Planning



Design, implement, and monitor age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for Pre-Primary & Primary classes. Ensure alignment with NEP 2020 recommendations, activity-based learning, and school academic policies. Introduce innovative teaching methodologies including play-way, experiential learning, and use of digital tools. Plan annual academic calendar, timetables, assessments, and co-curricular integrations.

Teacher Training & Support



Provide academic guidance and mentoring to teachers. Conduct regular training workshops on pedagogy, classroom management, and child psychology. Observe classes, share feedback, and support teachers in lesson delivery and assessment strategies. Encourage collaborative teaching practices and continuous professional development.

Student Learning & Well-being



Monitor academic progress of students and ensure timely interventions for slow learners. Promote inclusive education and differentiated instruction. Support initiatives for holistic development - literacy, numeracy, creativity, physical and socio-emotional growth. Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.

Assessment & Evaluation



Develop age-appropriate assessment tools, rubrics, and evaluation methods (formative & summative). Ensure timely and fair reporting of student progress to parents. Use assessment data to analyze learning gaps and implement remedial programs.

Parent & Community Engagement



Communicate with parents regarding curriculum, student progress, and academic programs. Organize orientation sessions, parent-teacher meetings, and academic workshops. Build strong parent-school partnerships to support child development.

Administrative Duties



Prepare academic reports, documentation, and maintain records for audits/affiliations. Coordinate with Principal and management for policy implementation. Support integration of technology in classrooms and school operations. Ensure compliance with school safety norms, academic guidelines, and statutory regulations.

Skills & Competencies



Strong knowledge of

early childhood education and primary pedagogy

. Familiarity with

CBSE/ICSE/State curriculum frameworks

and

NEP 2020 guidelines

. Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Proficiency in academic planning, assessment design, and digital learning tools. Empathy, patience, and child-centric approach.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's / Master's degree in Education (B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred). TTC or Diploma in Elementary Education Minimum

5-7 years of teaching experience

, with at least 2 years in an academic/coordination role. Exposure to teacher training, curriculum design, and school administration will be an advantage.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
