Job Title: Academic Coordinator

Department: Academics

Reports To: Principal / Director

School Level: Primary / Middle / Secondary / Senior Secondary (as applicable)

Job Purpose

The Academic Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and improving academic programs, ensuring curriculum effectiveness, teaching quality, and overall academic excellence in the school.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Planning & Curriculum

Coordinate implementation of curriculum as per CBSE/ICSE/State Board guidelines

Prepare and monitor academic calendars, lesson plans, and timetables

Ensure timely completion of syllabus across classes

Support integration of innovative teaching methodologies

Teacher Coordination & Support

Guide and mentor teachers for lesson planning, assessments, and classroom strategies

Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback

Organize teacher trainings, workshops, and academic meetings

Ensure adherence to academic standards and school policies

Student Performance & Assessment

Monitor student academic progress and results analysis

Plan and oversee examinations, assessments, and remedial programs

Identify learning gaps and implement academic improvement strategies

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain academic records, planners, and reports

Ensure compliance with board norms, inspection requirements, and audits

Prepare academic data for reviews, meetings, and reports

Parent & School Coordination

Support Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs)

Address academic concerns of parents and students

Act as a link between management, teachers, students, and parents

School Activities & Administration

Coordinate academic events, competitions, exhibitions, and projects

Support discipline, invigilation, and school activities

Assist the Principal in academic decision-making

Eligibility & Skills

Postgraduate/Graduate with B.Ed. (Mandatory)

Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience

Prior experience as Academic Coordinator / HOD preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Proficient in academic planning, documentation, and reporting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ?30,245.70 - ?40,452.13 per month

Work Location: In person
