The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the smooth execution of academic activities for Grades 5 to 10. This role involves curriculum implementation, teacher support, academic planning, assessment coordination, and ensuring alignment with school standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Planning & Implementation
Ensure effective delivery of the curriculum as per the school's academic calendar.
Coordinate lesson plans, syllabus completion, and timely revisions.
Monitor and support teachers in lesson delivery and classroom management.
Assessment & Evaluation
Plan, schedule, and supervise all internal assessments and examinations.
Review and approve question papers, marking schemes, and paper formats.
Ensure timely result compilation and report generation.
Teacher Coordination & Development
Conduct regular meetings with subject teachers to review progress.
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and peer learning.
Provide feedback to improve teaching quality and student engagement.
Student Performance Monitoring
Track academic progress of students and identify learning gaps.
Coordinate remedial classes and enrichment programs as needed.
Parent & School Communication
Coordinate with parents for academic updates, events, and open houses.
Support in organizing academic-related school functions and competitions.
Administrative Duties
Maintain academic records, reports, and schedules.
Liaise with the Principal/Head of School for academic updates and requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding (Grades 5-10).
Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for education.
Qualification:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education or relevant field.
Prior experience in teaching or academic coordination preferred.
