Job Overview

An academic coordinator is very important individual who deals with the everyday The Academic Coordinator for the Primary Section plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective delivery of the curriculum, enhancing the quality of teaching, and supporting the academic development of students. This role involves coordinating with teachers, staff, and parents to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development & Implementation:

Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of the primary school curriculum in line with the school's educational philosophy and standards.

Ensure alignment of the curriculum with educational standards and policies.

Coordinate the preparation and distribution of educational materials and resources.

Teacher Support & Development:

Provide guidance and support to teachers in planning lessons, developing instructional strategies, and using educational technology.

Facilitate professional development opportunities and training sessions for primary teachers.

Observe and evaluate teaching methods and classroom management, offering constructive feedback.

Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:

Oversee the assessment process, ensuring fair and accurate evaluation of student progress.

Analyse student performance data to identify areas for improvement and work with teachers to implement strategies to address these areas.

Coordinate with teachers to develop individualized education plans.

Parental Engagement & Communication:

Act as a liaison between parents and the school, addressing concerns, and facilitating communication regarding academic progress and development.

Organize and participate in parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and other events aimed at increasing parental involvement.

Administrative Duties:

Assist in the scheduling of classes, exams, and other academic events.

Ensure the maintenance of accurate academic records, including attendance, grades, and other relevant documentation.

Work with the school administration to ensure compliance with educational policies and regulations.

School Improvement Initiatives:

Contribute to the development and implementation of school improvement plans, focusing on enhancing the quality of education in the primary section.

Lead initiatives aimed at improving teaching practices, student engagement, and overall academic performance.

Other Responsibilities:

Support extracurricular activities and other school programs as needed.

Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.

Stay updated on educational trends, teaching methodologies, and innovations in primary education.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education or NTT .(Master's degree preferred).

Teaching certification and/or relevant qualifications in primary education.

A minimum of 8 years of teaching experience, with some experience in a leadership or coordinator role.

Strong understanding of primary school curriculum and best practices in education.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
