Bridgeon is seeking a responsible and student-focused Academic Advisor to manage and support students throughout their academic journey. The role primarily involves academic coordination, student management, progress monitoring, engagement, and career guidance, while working closely with trainers, advisors, and operations teams.
This role does not require mandatory mentoring or technical training responsibilities. However, the Academic Advisor is expected to provide structured guidance and ensure students remain aligned with academic expectations and institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Student Advisory & Support
Act as the primary point of contact for students regarding academic processes and policies
Conduct one-on-one and group advisory sessions to address academic concerns
Guide students on learning structure, expectations, and academic goals
Provide motivation, clarity, and direction to help students stay consistent and accountable
Identify learning challenges and coordinate appropriate academic support
Academic Monitoring
Track student progress, attendance, discipline, and overall performance
Identify at-risk students and initiate follow-up or corrective action plans
Review academic outcomes such as assignments, projects, and sprint progress
Coordinate academic interventions in collaboration with trainers and academic leadership
Orientation & Student Engagement
Conduct orientation sessions for new batches
Explain Bridgeon's learning model, policies, schedules, and expected outcomes
Maintain regular communication with students to ensure engagement and participation
Organise academic meetings, reviews, retrospectives, and follow-up sessions
Career Guidance & Professional Readiness
Support students with career planning and goal setting
Guide resume preparation, interview readiness, and placement processes
Educate students on industry expectations, professional conduct, and workplace ethics
Coordination & Reporting
Collaborate with trainers, academic advisors, and operations teams
Maintain accurate student records, attendance logs, and academic documentation
Prepare and share academic progress reports and insights with management
Ensure compliance with academic policies, processes, and standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Education or IT preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to guide, coordinate, and manage students effectively
Basic understanding of IT career paths and learning environments
Good organisational, documentation, and follow-up skills
Empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented mindset
Preferred Skills
Experience in academic advisory, education coordination, or training operations
Familiarity with LMS platforms or academic tracking systems
