Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and practical experience to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment. Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct field service visits to diagnose and resolve customer issues. Collaborate with construction teams to integrate HVAC design into new builds. Repair refrigeration units and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Utilize mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Assist with plumbing tasks as needed during installations or repairs. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Skills

Strong service technician experience in HVAC/R systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and understanding HVAC design principles. Knowledge of refrigeration processes and ammonia refrigeration systems. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in appliance repair and property maintenance. Familiarity with the use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics. Ability to perform welding tasks for equipment repairs when necessary. Experience working with boilers and other heating systems is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
