Job Title: AC R&D Manager

Department: Research & Development

CTC Range: ?20 LPA - ?30 LPA

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)

Experience: Minimum 10 years in AC manufacturing industry

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AC R&D Manager to head the research and development of residential and commercial air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in AC manufacturing and proven expertise in developing energy-efficient, reliable, and competitive products.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the complete R&D lifecycle for air conditioning products - from concept to mass production.

Develop innovative, cost-effective, and high-performance AC designs aligned with market demands.

Evaluate and select key components (compressors, heat exchangers, motors, etc.) and work with vendors and suppliers.

Supervise prototype development, testing, validation, and reliability assessments.

Ensure products meet all regulatory standards (BEE, BIS, ISO) and internal quality benchmarks.

Manage a multidisciplinary R&D team and coordinate with Product, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams.

Monitor technology trends, competitor benchmarks, and bring cutting-edge solutions to the product line.

Maintain detailed documentation for all projects and support cross-functional reporting needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

Minimum of 10 years of experience specifically in the AC manufacturing industry.

Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermal design, system simulation, and AC architecture.

Hands-on experience with design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), simulation software, and testing protocols.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and BOM cost control.

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience working with ODMs/OEMs or global AC brands.

Knowledge of inverter technology, IoT integration in HVAC systems, and sustainable refrigerants.

M. Tech or industry certifications in HVACR is a plus.
