Job Description

Responsibilities The Applications Developer is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications development and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall technical planning, design and development/implementation of Abinitio solutions using ETL (Ab-initio)
Maintain technical documentation for all packages, descriptions of the data and data structures including data definitions, metadata, data models, and data flow diagrams.
Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience working as an Ab Initio developer in data driven projects
Lead by example in developing exceptional quality code by doing design & code reviews.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a distributed delivery setup
Proven track record of delivery using Ab Initio software
Proficient in using the Ab Initio development products (Plans, Graphs, GDE, Co-Ops, DML, Transformation etc.)
Preferred to have control center knowledge to schedule and monitor the jobs.
Preferred to have working experience using Ab Initio Continuous flows
Experience in Design, Development, Testing and Deployment of the software code
Good level of expertise in Oracle and Unix/Linux, SQL
Very good communication & analytical skills
Good stakeholder management, coordination & collaboration skills
Self-starter, highly motivated and complete ownership from design till deployment
Mandatory Skills:
Candidate should have around 7 years of overall experience with key experience in Ab Initio area
The candidate should have strong analytical skills
The sometimes ambiguous environment means that the candidate should also be experienced with multi-tasking and balancing tasks with priorities
The candidate should have strong communication and decision making skills.
Desirable Skills:
The candidate should be proactive and should be capable to research and find solutions to the problem.
Self-motivated, team player, action-and-results oriented. Excellent oral and written communication skill as candidate is expected to work with onshore & near-shore teams
Proven ability to work with teams that are geographically separated
Strong influencing & interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
Total 7 years of IT experience.
Educational requirements: BE/B. Tech
Language requirements (including proficiency levels for speaking, reading, and writing): English
Education: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
Industry: Banking
