Job Summary Due to growing awareness of neurodiversity, conditions like autism and ADHD are being recognized in a more timely manner in children. ABA is an evidence based therapy approach to work with neurodiversity. At Sambhavam, we recruit bright young people and provide the training needed to work with autism. Over the last ten years, we have recruited about a 150 people from colleges like Christ university, Jain University, IIPR, Montfort, St. Joseph\'s, Maharani, Bangalore University, Montfort etc. and trained them in ABA therapy. Many of our alumni have gone on to build successful careers in therapy space, often heading their own teams in a span of 5 years. A number of them have also been accepted into universities abroad for further studies. Work Description ABA therapists work directly with children, providing Applied Behavior Analysis therapy and training to them, as per their IEP. During a typical day, you will work with 2 - 3 children, one child at a time. You will accompany the child throughout the day, teaching them, playing with them and generally helping them navigate the day. This is an entry level position where you have an opportunity to work hands-on with children, making an immediate impact and also offers excellent longer term professional growth prospects. Responsibilities and DutiesWhat you will do:
Learn ABA techniques and implement an Individual Education Plan
Design and prepare educational activities and material for the children
Accompany children on field trips and outdoor activities
Participate in awareness programs and other activities related to autism
Required Experience, Skills and QualificationsWhat we are looking for
Fresh Graduates/Post-graduates from Psychology/Social Work/ any other discipline, interested in working with autism
Interest and passion for working with children
Excellent English communication
