AB InBev India is looking to hire an Associate Director - New Business Development - Procurement & Sustainability for its Procurement function based out of Bangalore.

Primary Purpose of the role -

The BU India AD - NBD role will lead and look after:

- Direct Material Procurement - including all packaging and raw materials

- Sourcing strategy for HMO (Hired Manufacturing / Contract manufactures)

- Capex & MRO Procurement for the NBD business

- Logistics Procurement

Key Tasks & Accountabilities:-

A. Indirect, Capex, MRO & Logistics

1. Lead and look after the overall spend across Indirect (Commercial, Non-Commercial and HMO) Capex, MRO & Logistics within the allocated budget

2. Continuously monitor and track the forecast vs actual saving and take corrective actions

3. Actively involve and engage with stakeholders for the execution of sourcing projects across applicable categories

4. Manage and lead logistics negotiation, logistics procurement procedure and be responsible for delivering the identified cost savings

5. Have an insight into innovation and new supplier development to deliver expected saving based on total supply chain cost

6. Work closely with Brewery Logistics to ensure Logistics Operation Centralization initiatives and support on daily logistic operation from procurement perspective

7. Set up and renew cost model for cost analysis (understand supply and demand market, logistic industry, cost analysis etc)

8. Drive Category Strategy, Sourcing, Tactics and Contracts - driving the optimal delivery of business requirements at optimal TCO

9. Apply business policies, standards and platforms including the agreed Category and Sourcing Management methodology

10. Defining and driving all committed champions initiatives

B. Direct materials - raw material, auxiliaries, utilities, by-products , primary packaging & secondary packaging - for BU India beer production

1. Assure availability of direct materials across 18 breweries in India

2. Provide an accurate visibility of material needs to suppliers, taking into consideration possible changeovers

3. Communication with suppliers, procurement, zone technical department etc. to ensure materials and utilities availability

4. Work with direct materials suppliers to improve materials\' quality

5. Defining and driving all committed champions initiatives

C. New Product Development & Innovation

1. Lead and execute projects related to the development of direct materials, methods or technologies from the concept phase up to the implementation at industrial scale

2. Leading the benchmarking for direct materials -evaluating trends and innovations and if necessary proposing changes to our existing packaging / processes to keep continuous improvements in quality and cost

3. Leading Design to Value (DTV) initiatives across direct materials in BU India to ensure cost savings and value additional to strategic products

4. Supporting ZITEC, marketing innovation agenda and ensuring all product designs are in line with the 100+ sustainability goals

D. Stakeholder Alignment

1. Lead the collaboration with functional budget owners and work closely with the Category Manager and Procurement Centre

2. Identify, initiate, and co-manage value engineering efforts.

3. Actively engage stakeholders as defined in alignment throughout the strategy development and sourcing activities

4. Communicate effectively to establish most productive and satisfactory relationships between the breweries, supplier, global and zonal procurement office.

E. Support Strategic Planning, Implementation & Tracking

1. Challenge existing ways of working to improve procurement results and efficiency, delivering procurement targets

2. Understand and follow global and zone governance - policies and procedures

3. Provide information for global/cross-zone sourcing and implement global and zone contracts

4. Lead and monitor contract performance and take appropriate corrective actions when needed

5. Continuously track the forecast vs actual saving across categories and logistics and take corrective actions

6. Ensure spend map analysis is done to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing process

F. Leadership

1. Leadership and management of a team, with a strong focus on driving high performance culture

2. Engaging across the function to drive integrated processes and ways of working

3. Set and manage objectives, priorities, and targets for the team, ensuring they are constructive, accountable and lead to achieve specific objectives.

4. People development & engagement

5. Engaging with the BU ManCom (functional leadership team) and zone procurement leadership

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

Education & Experience

1. Academic background: appropriate University/bachelor\'s degree qualification is essential. An MBA would be considered an asset.

2. Professional experience (around 8-12 years) in the same functional domain or other related positions

3. Experience in leading a team

Skills and/or knowledge

1. Knowledge and experience in Logistics/Supply Chain

2. Strong analytical skills enabling to understand cost models, sourcing results and financial and operational impact for the Company

3. Project management skills and ability to manage complex cross-country, cross-functional scope

4. Knowledge of Procurement processes, methods and techniques, including negotiation skills, e-sourcing tools, e-auctions is beneficial;

5. Procurement (Sourcing) execution including tendering

6. E-auction

7. Category management experience is a strong asset

8. High level of commercial awareness

9. Proven negotiation and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contracts

10. Strategic and conceptual thinking, cross functional thinking

11. Ability to develop and maintain effective partnership working across geographic boundaries. Focus on service delivery and results oriented

12. Strong financial acumen - Budgeting and monthly tracking & monitoring for budget adherence

13. IT Capability - data analysis and strong analytical and excel skills
