Job Description

The Logistics Account Lead is responsible for managing the department's day-to-day operations, having an immediate impact on business fulfilment, client relations, and the achievement of long-term departmental goals and objectives. This position works with the Logistics Team Leader to ensure that standard processes and relevant metrics are in place, and are used to improve customer service, reduce, or contain transport costs, and increase the productivity of the department. The Account Lead has primary responsibility for prompt issue resolution and acts as a backup to the Logistics Team Leader.



Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's or equivalent college degree - focus in Logistics preferred Experience in handling shipments to Middle East / North Africa / Turkey Imports / Exports / Domestic Transportation to GCC / Non -GCC Countries in Middle East Customs / Documentation knowledge to above GCC / Non -GCC & North African countries Knowledge in International Trade & Management Previous experience in Account Lead position preferable Excellent English communication MS Office, especially MS Excel Issue resolution experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask & prioritize, flexibility Planning and organizational skills Leadership/coaching skills Presentation skills Ability to grow other people skills

Responsibilities:



Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate the routing process if needed Manage escalations Training for newcomers, internal team members, or external customers/suppliers if needed Manage staffing - provide support to HR in the recruitment (face-to-face/online interviews); on-boarding of new employees; team building and well-being of the employees Distribute workload efficiently among department team members Manage on-call shift for department team members Act as back up to the Logistics Team Leader as requested Facilitate prompt issue resolution and oversee issue resolution within the department. Timely forward suggested corrective actions or issues needing additional attention to the Logistics Team Leader Suggest process improvements Run standard reports and metrics on a regular basis, analyse and review findings with the Logistics Team Leader Ensure client satisfaction Manage special projects Travel to client locations as needed Actively support sales, marketing, and business development Support marketing efforts such as article publications, launching campaigns Supervise and manage employees regarding: Timesheets and time off Employee engagement Employee growth Coaching Policy compliance Disciplinary action and write-ups Performance reviews and Personal Development Plans (PDPs) Any additional tasks related to Scope of Work agreed with the client * Perform Allyn core values, actively promote teamwork and represent Allyn according to company culture
