In this role, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and delivering high-quality 3D assets and animations used across VR, AR, and simulation-based training products. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and product stakeholders to bring realistic, functional, and visually compelling digital environments and machinery to life -- on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities



Design, model, texture, and optimize 3D environments, machinery, and props using Blender and Substance Painter. Create and implement rigging and animations (mechanical or character-based) for use in real-time simulations. Apply strong polygon optimization techniques to ensure performance across VR and real-time platforms. Develop PBR textures, perform UV unwrapping and map baking, maintaining consistency across all assets. Work closely with XR designers and Unity developers to ensure seamless integration and performance validation. Contribute to lighting setup, scene composition, and look development for immersive experiences. Take ownership and accountability for timely delivery of assigned 3D assets and related documentation. Review and mentor junior artists, providing feedback to improve modelling quality and workflow efficiency. Maintain naming conventions, asset versioning, and pipeline documentation to ensure smooth collaboration.

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong proficiency in Blender for modelling, texturing, rigging, and animation. Expert-level skills in Substance Painter for creating realistic PBR textures. Proven experience with polygon optimization, topology management, and real-time performance techniques. Understanding of rigging principles (mechanical or humanoid) and animation fundamentals. Knowledge of UV unwrapping, map baking (normal, AO, roughness, etc.), and LOD creation. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results within project timelines. Strong attention to detail, scale, and visual consistency. Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional production environment.

Preferred Skills



Experience working with Unity (asset import, material setup, and animation integration). Familiarity with Substance Designer, Quixel, Photoshop, or similar tools. Knowledge of lighting, rendering, and shader setups for real-time visualization. Exposure to VR, simulation, or training-focused production pipelines.

Experience & Education



2-4 years of professional experience as a 3D Artist in gaming, simulation, or XR environments. A degree or diploma in Game Art, 3D Design, Animation, or related field is preferred but not mandatory. * A strong portfolio demonstrating modelling, rigging, animation, and texturing capabilities in Blender and Substance Painter is required.
