Role Overview
The Assistant Manager - Renewable Energy Consulting will support and partially lead technical, commercial and regulatory assignments across large-scale renewable energy projects. The role is suited for candidates looking for accelerated career growth, structured responsibilities and exposure to multi-disciplinary consulting work.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery and Analysis
Support and lead components of Feasibility Studies, DPRs, TEV Reports and Technical Due Diligence
Conduct CUF estimation, energy modelling, shading studies and system sizing
Review BOQs, SLDs, engineering drawings and EPC technical documents
Assist in project cost assessments, risk identification and techno-commercial analysis
Project Coordination
Coordinate with internal Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Site teams
Maintain trackers, MIS reports and structured documentation
Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and client deliverables
Client and Stakeholder Management
Support senior management in client meetings, presentations and discussions
Prepare proposals, technical briefs, progress reports and communication notes
Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs and external consultants
Regulatory and Policy Analysis
Review MERC/CERC regulations, grid codes and open access policies
Support tariff analysis, commercial modelling and regulatory impact assessments
Internal Development
Provide guidance to junior analysts and interns
Strengthen internal templates, systems and documentation processes
Candidate Profile
Education
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Energy Engineering
Minimum CGPA 7.0 (or 70% equivalent)
Strong academic fundamentals and no pending backlogs
Experience
Minimum 3 years in any of the following areas:
Renewable Energy Consulting
Solar or Hybrid Project Engineering
Feasibility Studies or Due Diligence
EPC or EPCM Coordination
Technical Skills
Strong analytical and numerical ability
Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint
Experience with PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope or equivalent tools
Capability to interpret layouts, SLDs, BOQs and engineering drawings
