Position Title: 2nd Line Hybrid Cloud Reliability Engineer

Description

We're looking for 2nd line Hybrid Cloud Reliability Engineers to help us manage our global hybrid cloud environment. We have a team of well experienced Senior Cloud Engineers whose goal is to complete our Cloud First strategy through continuous improvement of our IT ecosystem. We are looking to enhance our capabilities by building a 24/7 Reliability Team at the Elanco Innovation and Alliance Centre in India.

You, as the perfect candidate, should demonstrate a good familiarity with modern cloud monitoring tools, and you should have experience in logs reading and root cause analysis. You must be strong with at least one of the following domains: Azure, GCP, VMware and familiar with the remaining.

The Team

The TechOps team is responsible for all IT Infrastructure across the enterprise and looking to take the opportunity to think differently, build for the future and leverage modern technologies, services, and processes. Internally, we like to describe TechOps as a 'start-up within an enterprise'!

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and log analysis with cloud platforms (Azure, Google) and virtual infrastructure (VMware)
• Troubleshooting hybrid cloud infrastructure issues, service incidents, performance, and availability issues
• Infrastructure provisioning through the automation/CLI/GUI
• Performing basic maintenance and assisting in deploying new resources and services
• Close cooperation with 3rd line Hybrid Cloud Reliability Team, Service Desk and Vendors
• Building enhancements and fixes where necessary.
• Ensuring that IT Security, Privacy and Quality needs are maintained
• Working in shifts at IAC office
• Operation and management of monitoring tool platforms
• Patch and vulnerability management
• Service request management

Core Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of cloud management, automation, alerting and monitoring tools
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud or VMware
• Familiar with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud and VMware
• Experience with W2k16/19/22 and RHEL
• Familiar with Infrastructure as a Code
• Experience with Ansible playbooks and Terraform patterns execution
• Basic familiarity with scripting and automation
• Experience with Service Now ticketing
• Familiar with ITIL framework
• Strong communication skills - internal customer focus
• Experience within an infrastructure operations environment
• Strong personal & work organisational skills

Language

English: Advanced/Fluent

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or commensurate industry experience
