Role Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented

2D Panelling Intern

to support our manga/anime production team. The role involves assisting with manga panel layouts, visual storytelling, and storyboard preparation to ensure smooth narrative flow and engaging reader/viewer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in creating

panel layouts

for manga pages and anime storyboards. Support senior artists in

framing, pacing, and composition

of scenes. Work on

rough sketches, thumbnails, and draft panels

under guidance. Ensure consistency in

character design, perspective, and storytelling style

. Collaborate with writers, illustrators, and directors to translate scripts into

visual sequences

. Assist with

screen tones, backgrounds, and dialogue balloon placement

(for manga). Conduct

reference research

to maintain accuracy in environments, props, and cultural elements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong drawing/sketching skills with understanding of

perspective and anatomy

. Familiarity with

manga/anime storytelling techniques

(pacing, panel flow, camera angles). Basic knowledge of digital tools such as

Clip Studio Paint, Photoshop, or Storyboard Pro

. Passion for

manga, anime, and visual storytelling

. Ability to take direction, adapt to feedback, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (plus points):

Experience in

comic/manga creation or fan projects

. Knowledge of

Japanese manga paneling conventions

. Basic understanding of

animation pipeline

(for anime-focused teams).
