The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, and ERP systems, with a strong ability to influence stakeholders across finance, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic cost analysis
initiatives to support key business decisions, profitability assessments, and long-term planning.
Oversee and mentor Cost Analysts/Specialists in developing and maintaining standard product costs, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and best practices.
Manage
end-to-end cost modeling
for new and existing products, including new product introduction (NPI), Original Equipment (OE), and aftermarket costing.
Conduct advanced
variance analysis
(purchase price, production, logistics, and overhead variances) and present actionable insights to leadership.
Provide in-depth analysis of
product master data
, cost drivers, and supply chain impacts to drive cost optimization strategies.
Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to assess
product profitability, pricing strategies
, and margin improvement opportunities.
Play a key role in the
annual standard cost setting process
, ensuring robust governance and cross-functional alignment.
Develop and execute complex
test cases and validation scenarios
for ERP or cost system enhancements; ensure interface accuracy and integrity of financial systems.
Deliver timely and accurate cost reporting, including
month-end and year-to-date variance analysis
vs. budgets, forecasts, and prior year.
Support the
financial forecasting and budgeting process
with detailed cost input and sensitivity analysis.
Champion
continuous improvement
by identifying opportunities to enhance cost accounting processes, tools, and reporting capabilities.
Communicate complex cost insights to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders through clear, data-driven presentations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance
, or a related field;
Cost Accounting Certification (e.g., CMA)
highly preferred.
Minimum
15 years of progressive experience
in cost accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing finance roles.
Demonstrated expertise in
standard costing, variance analysis
, and cost control in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong proficiency with
ERP systems
(e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and financial planning/reporting tools.
