Organization De Scalene was established in 1993, to promote science, technology and medical engineering with a global interest. Scalene started independent research into cardiovascular physiology in 1993 and successfully developed the first prototype of HAEMOTRON in 1998. It was commercialized in 1999 and today there are over 40 installations in about 17 countries. HAEMOTRON was renamed as Haemoseis-256 in 2003. In the year 2000, Scalene Cybernetics limited was established with its research & development wing, the Centre for Advanced Research & Development (CARD). In 2001, scalene shifted to its own campus, the S-CARD campus in Bangalore. Cytotron research initiated by scalene in 1996 was also transferred to CARD. In 2004 CARD produced first prototype of Cytotron. Cytotron was commercialized in July 2006. Till date, there have been 27 installations in about 7 countries. Benefits of Cytotron will soon be available in many other countries during the years to come. Today scalene is spread over 86,000 sq feet at its head quarters in Bangalore and with member companies in India, Europe, North America, Middle East and South East Asia making it one among the best technology organization in the world. Headed by Dr. R.V. Kumar, an accomplished scientist, organization de scalene is technology driven, houses the best state of art Research and Development wing: the Center for Advanced Research and Development (CARD) and Scalene Energy Research Institute (SERI). Over the period it has indigenously developed many technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, medical engineering, environmental sciences, modelling, stimulation, power engineering and energy generation and management and holds many patents to its credit. Scalene work force includes engineers, biotechnologist, medical and management professionals, accountants, administrative personnels etc.
