Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Job Summary:

Utkarsh Global Foundation, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our animal care and welfare organisation. The ideal candidate must have minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in veterinary surgeries and be committed to the health and welfare of animals, especially in community-based and shelter environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including sterilization (spay/neuter), wound management, orthopedic and emergency surgeries.

Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care for animals.

Ensure high standards of hygiene, asepsis, and surgical protocols.

Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals, particularly street and shelter animals.

Collaborate with paraveterinary staff and dog-catching teams during ABC (Animal Birth Control) programs.

Maintain detailed medical and surgical records.

Provide training and guidance to junior staff and volunteers.

Participate in vaccination drives, rescue operations, and community outreach programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from a recognized institution.

Valid registration with the Veterinary Council of India (VCI).

Minimum years of experience in veterinary surgery

Experience in Animal Birth Control (ABC) and pet welfare NGO setup preferred.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work in high-pressure and field environments.

Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.

Salary: up to 45k

Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Negotiable for the right candidate.
